Each year, we gather our directories with deep love and admiration for all of the labor, often unseen, that entrepreneurs pour into their creations. In 2021, the Alliance engaged in more place-based programmatic work than any previous year. Taking our existing program model and applying it to one focused area at a time was an overwhelmingly positive experience that will help guide our future work. In the spirit of place, we created this directory to showcase a sampling of the incredible entrepreneurs operating out of Oakland’s distinct neighborhoods. We want to give a special thanks to our Summer Youth Coro Fellows, Astrid Utting and Sydney Zeng, for creating the first iteration of this directory.
