April 2020 Newsletter
A letter from our team, community resources and responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Alliance Community,

Many words have been written and spoken in recent days about the current state of our country and our communities. For many of us, those words have been coupled with fear, mourning, anxiety and for some, anger -- and this is all okay. It is okay to not be okay because this isn't business as usual. For others, we have been met with a call for innovation, a challenge to redefine connect. And for most of us, we’ve straddled the line between the two.

Community, we see you. We see you working to protect and support this ecosystem and one another.

We at the Alliance are committed to uplifting and engaging opportunities to innovate and support this ecosystem as we collectively navigate what this new reality is.

ALLIANCE SUPPORT
We want to support the Ecosystem. We so value this community and want to continue to share resources, collaborate, ask for support and navigate. We recognize that the world has very much become a new place for all of us. There are a number of resources available and we want to continue to connect you to them.

  • Are you an entrepreneur? We know that there are so many things coming to you at once. If it feels overwhelming, we want to support you. If you’re looking for a sounding board, we’re happy to play that role. Schedule a 1:1 Navigation session below.
  • Are you a financial or business support provider offering support and or/relief? Let us know how we can add capacity or further spread the word. We will be reaching out weekly to learn more about your work and how to connect folks to you sooner in our Newsletters and social media posting.
  • Are you offering something to your community to create connections? We want to honor that in these times, it is even more important to honor and engage your FULL self. Be it a dance party, creative circle, mastermind group or happy hour, we’re happy to share what you’re doing on our platforms.
Connect with us. Our team has gone digital and is exploring new tools and practices to stay connected for our quarterly convenings and workshops. In the meantime, here are ways to stay connected:
  • Subscribe to our Newsletter
  • Like us on Facebook
  • Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram

More than ever, we are called to deepen our work together; not just as colleagues and professionals, but as people and as a community. We hope that these holistic sets of resources are a helpful start.

We are with you.

In Community,

The Alliance for Community Development Team

COVID-19 Navigation

We are here to support you! COVID Navigation is a free scheduled meeting with our navigation team to go through what types of COVID support you may qualify for during this time. The support can include financial support for your business or even your personal needs. We can also make referrals for many other types of services like housing, food, or child care to name a few. Consider us your research team that will help save you time and energy in this stressful unprecedented time.

Schedule your COVID Navigation session with us here or by clicking below! Once you have a time scheduled we will send you a brief intake form to help us get started on the research.
